WWE

This weekend is the 2014 version of WWE Hell in a Cell and the PPV will feature two matches in the Hell in a Cell chamber. John Cena faces Randy Orton while Seth Rollins takes on Dean Ambrose and the four men have some huge shoes to fill. Here is a look at the Top 10 WWE Hell in a Cell matches in WWE history.

  1. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels, Bad Blood 2004

  1. Triple H vs. Chris Jericho, Judgment Day 2002

  1. Undertaker vs. Edge, SummerSlam 2008

  1. Undertaker vs. Triple H, Wrestlemania XXVIII

This was supposed to be the end of an era, the two biggest stars of the Attitude Era in one last hurrah with Shawn Michaels along for the ride as the special guest referee. It was the first time that Michaels refereed a Triple H match and didn’t help his friend win.

  1. Rock vs. Triple H vs. Kurt Angle vs. Steve Austin vs. Rikishi vs. Undertaker, Armageddon 2000

It was a match that should never have worked. Five men in the cage at once should never have worked. The Rock, Triple H, Steve Austin, Undertaker and Kurt Angle made sure it was an ultimate classic. Rikishi was the odd man out, but he was there to take the huge bump from off the top of the cell. Overall, it was shockingly good.

  1. Triple H vs. Cactus Jack, No Way Out 2000

This was pretty much a perfect Hell in a Cell match. Cactus Jack was at his most bloodthirsty here and Triple H bumped like a madman as well.

  1. Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker, Badd Blood: In Your House 1997

This is probably the best match when it comes to the back and forth action. Both Shawn Michaels and Undertaker were in the prime of their career. This was also when Kane made his very first WWE appearance.

  1. Undertaker vs. Mankind, King of the Ring 1998

Maybe the Undertaker vs. Mankind match is not technically better than the Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker match, but it includes Mankind getting thrown off the cage and through the announcer’s table and the sight of Mankind thrown through the top of the cage, a move that knocked him out legitimately and put a tooth into his nose.
