The Breakdown
In a Chinese work camp, one of the women working there has been snuck out under the guise that she is having a heart attack. She is being sent to the US. The Pavlovish Brothers are aware of this and are going after her in Washington D.C. Lizzie plants a tracking device in Tom’s keys. Lizzie tells Red that Tom is acting different and knows something maybe wrong.
Red tells Lizzie that the Pavlovish Brothers are in town in order to kidnap the woman. Lizzie is briefed by the FBI about the Chinese woman who is a doctor who specializes in germ warfare. Lizzie and Ressler are told by Cooper to get her from Andrews air force base so they can get her to safety. At the base Ressler and Lizzie are ambushed by the Pavlovish Brothers and have taken the woman.

Malik tells Cooper that the woman who was kidnapped is involved with germ warfare. Lizzie gets a call from Red and Red tells her that Tom did not go to work. Lizzie meets Red who already has a tail on Tom. Tom is trying to meet with a man and goes to the National Archives in order to exchange something. Tom calls the drop off when he spots Lizzie. When Lizzie gets home Tom asks if she was there and she denies it. Tom goes and walks the dog, but once he leaves from out of the house he leaves the dog on the doorstep. Tom goes to a payphone, gets a secure line and ask for extraction because “she knows”.
Tom is at a safehouse waiting for extraction. A homeless man walks by and places something in the trash. After the 2 men outside tell him to leave a bomb goes off and a few of Red’s men shoot up the place. The men that are protecting Tom jump in cars and a hot pursuit occurs. Red’s men finally pin Tom into a corner and bring him in. Malik and Ressler are trying to figure out what is on the wall of the site where the Chinese woman was being held hostage at. Ressler thinks that Red set Lizzie up and took the woman for himself. Lizzie denies, she goes back home and Tom is there bound and gagged by Red’s men.

Lizzie pours her heart out to Tom wondering why he has done this. Tom’s only reply is that he was doing his job. Malik and Aram are trying to figure out what the message Ping Lee wrote on the wall in the room she was held in. Eventually Aram figures out that she is trying to tell them that she will be transported out of the country by boat. Lizzie calls Red ad tells him this and he has him get into contact with a man who knows anything about smuggling in the eastern seaboard. Malik and Ressler go to visit him. Lizzie wants Tom to talk which he won’t, so Lizzie grabs a wrench and breaks his fingers.
Lizzie still wants answers from Tom and wants him to tell the truth, Tom tells her that if you put someone in handcuffs you shouldn’t break their thumb and breaks out of the handcuffs. Tom gets the upper hand and tells Lizzie to handcuff herself to the stairs. Tom tells her goodbye but also tells her that the key (the was under the lamp) goes to a bank and that Red is the bad guy not him. The FBI finds the dock where the woman is, they shoot every bad guy in sight and save the woman. Red still has a tail on Tom. Lizzie goes to the box that the key goes to opens it and is in shock.

The Analysis
I really could have sworn that Tom would have been written out of the show by the time Lizzie found out who he really was. The Red versus Tom thing makes for an interesting twist. As the whole “most dangerous person in the world” every week thins was getting a bit bland.
