Props have to be given to AMC for taking on the topic of religion, only time will tell if they stick to their guns when met with inevitable controversy from the religious community. Other less controversial stories, like 666 Park Avenue, have been pulled from station line ups at the faintest hint of religious disapproval. Will the execs stand behind the show long enough to gain a strong following? For an amazing story like Preacher I truly hope so.
