WWE held their November pay-per-view, The Survivor Series, on Nov. 24 and saw both world titles on the line as well as two traditional Survivor Series matches. Here are the 2013 WWE Survivor Series results.
The Miz vs. Kofi Kingston
Before the PPV started, there was one Kickoff match between The Miz and Kofi Kingston. This match was set up when Kingston turned on The Miz in a tag team match on WWE Monday Night Raw. Miz had since said he only did it because he wanted to be a singles star. Interestingly, Miz offered and shook Kingston’s hand before the match before going on to win the match cleanly. When Miz tried to shake hands again after the match, Kofi slapped him in the face and walked off.
Winner: The Miz by pinfall
The first match on the show will be the traditional Survivor Series match.
Traditional Survivor Series Match: Rhodes Dynasty, The Usos, Rey Mysterio vs. The Shield and Real Americans
In a surprising, and disappointing move, the first person eliminated – early in the match – is Dean Ambrose, who was wrapped up by Cody Rhodes while he was arguing with the referee. The other two Shield members ran in and soon all the bad guys were thrown out to the floor for the heroes to hit diving moves onto them.
The Real Americans get in control and work over Goldust for awhile until he finally makes the hot tag to Rey Mysterio. Rey comes in and puts things back in the faces control. He hits the 619 onto Jack Swagger and Jey Uso hits the big splash from the top buckle to pin Jack Swagger. That makes it 5-3 in favor of the good guys.
Antonio Cesaro is in and tries the Big Swing on both Jimmy and Jey Uso but then Cody Rhodes tags in and hits a sunset flip to eliminate Antonio Cesaro.
Roman Reigns comes in and looks good. The good guys make some tags but they are no match for Reigns, who pins Jimmy Uso with a big spear. Seth Rollins tags in but almost gets hit the the Cross Rhodes. Reigns tags himself back in and hits the spear onto Cody Rhodes to eliminate him, making if 3-3.
Jey Uso is in next and gets Reigns out of the ring. However, Seth Rollins tags in after Jey misses a dive and hits the curb stomp to eliminate Jey Uso. That makes it Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns vs. Goldust and Rey Mysterio.
Mysterio is in, but gets caught by The Shield and is double teamed. He is almost counted out but gets back into the ring. Rey almost tags Goldust but Seth Rollins knocks Goldust to the floor. Rey quickly hits the Electric Chair Drop to eliminate Seth Rollins.
Goldust starts fighting off Reigns but Reigns hits a giant spear to eliminate Goldust. Rey flies into the ring and gets Reigns down. He tries the 619 but Reigns counters into another spear and wins by pinning Rey Mysterio.
Winner: Roman Reigns as the sole survivor
Up next is the Intercontinental title match.
Intercontinental Championship: Big E Langston vs. Curtis Axel
Curtis Axel got in some offense in the match, but Big E Langston was too much. Axel even used his dad’s Perfect Ples, but Big E kicked out. Big E finally won with the Big Ending to retain his title.
Winner: Big E Langston
Next up is the Divas Traditional Survivor Series match.
Traditional Survivor Series Match: Natalya, Naomi, Cameron, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, JoJo, and Eva Marie versus Aksana, AJ Lee, Tamina Snuka, Summer Rae, Rosa Mendes, Kaitlyn, and Alicia Fox
The order of the eliminations was: Alicia Fox (pinned by Naomi), Cameron (by Rosa), Rosa (by Nikki Bella), Summer Rae (by Nikki), Eva Marie (by Kaitlyn), Naomi (by Kaitlyn), Kaitlyn (by Brie Bella), Brie Bella (by Aksana), Aksana (by Nikki Bella), JoJo (by AJ Lee), Tamina (by Natalya), AJ Lee (by Natalya)
Winners: Natalya and Nikki Bella (sole survivors)
Ryback is coming out next. He makes fun of the legends doing the “Experts Table” (Bret Hart, Mick Foley and Booker T) and then challenges anyone to come out so he can beat them. MARK HENRY makes his big WWE return to answer the challenge.
Challenge Match: Ryback vs. Mark Henry
Mark Henry beats Ryback pretty easily with the World’s Greatest Slam.
Winner: Mark Henry
The world title match is next.
World Championship: John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio
In an interesting move, Ricardo Rodriguez is back and is at ringside doing commentary for the match. The match lasted quite a bit and Cena sold his arm injury well throughout. Cena picked up the win with the Attitude Adjustment. Rodriguez had nothing to do with the decision.
Winner and still champion: John Cena
The next match on the Survivor Series results and recap is the Wyatt Family vs. Daniel Bryan and CM Punk. But first, John Laurenitis is back to pimp the WWE store.
The Wyatt Family vs. CM Punk and Daniel Bryan
Bryan and Rowan start off the match. While Rowan goes for his power moves, Bryan uses his quickness to keep Rowan off balance. He finally tags in CM Punk. Both Bryan and Punk are working on Rowan’s knees, trying to take out his legs. Rowan tags in Harper and he takes the advantage on Punk. The Wyatt’s start to double team and work over Punk until Punk finally gets to his corner and tags in Bryan. Rowan hits a nice double suplex on both Punk and Bryan. The Wyatt’s start double teaming CM Punk again and have re-taken control.
Bryan finally gets the hot tag and is a house of fire on Harper. He hits some big impact strikes with kicks and knees. That ends when Bryan tried a top rope hurricanrana that Harper turned into a top rope powerbomb. Punk saves Bryan from taking the pin loss. Rowan tosses Punk and the two double up on Bryan again.
Bryan finally makes the hot tag and CM Punk is in like a house of fire. He hits the top rope elbow and then attempts the GTS on Harper, but Rowan saves him. Bryan is back in and takes out Rowan with the flying knee, allowing Punk to hit the GTS on Harper for the win.
Winners: CM Punk and Daniel Bryan
After the match, Bray Wyatt teased that this feud is far from over.
Next, we go backstage and see John Cena talking to The Authority about the status of his arm. Randy Orton comes in and Cena says he is good to go and leaves. Orton is paranoid and angry and wanted to know what they were talking about. He then leaves for the final match on this WWE Survivor Series recap: WWE Championship match between Randy Orton and Big Show.
WWE Championship: Randy Orton vs. Big Show
The match starts with Randy Orton running away from Big Show. He is not successful at running, though, and Big Show keeps getting some big hits on the champion. The two wrestle a slow match and then the referee is bumped. The two battled into the crowd and then returned to the ring.
The Authority make their way down to the ring, which distracts Big Show long enough for Orton to hit the RKO. Instead of pinning him, Orton backed up and hit the concussion kick to Big Show and then pinned him to retain the title.
Winner and still champion: Randy Orton
This was not the end of the WWE Survivor Series recap. After Orton beat Big Show in the main event, The Authority celebrated the big win. As they stand together in the ring, John Cena’s music starts and he walks out. Orton is holding the WWE title in the ring and Cena holds up the world title from the stage. Cena then comes down to the ring and walked past Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, before sliding in and facing Randy Orton. Cena holds his title while Orton looks confused and Survivor Series ends.
