Robert Rodriguez is bringing us another Sin City movie this year. His first attempt at the popular comic book franchise presented us with a brilliant looking film that was basically the pages ripped straight out of the comics and thrown on the screen for us to lust over.
It was a perfect comic book adaptation.
Now, Rodriguez is back again and the main Sin City story he focuses on in the new movie is A Dame to Kill For. The new movie takes Dwight and puts him into a dangerous Film Noir story with a woman he just can’t say no to. The story follows the narrative of the classic Hammett and Chandler Noir novels and should make for a great movie in Rodriguez’s hands.
Josh Brolin replaces Clive Owen in the role of Dwight, which makes sense because the character had his face completely reconstructed between the this movie and the first. It is also a prequel, which means we get Mickey Rourke back as Marv.
Rodriguez is busy working on the new movie, and he released a couple of teaser images. The first is a finished shot of Brolin from the movie and the second is a shot of Rodriguez constructing that scene.
With these new images, my excitement level has increased.
