The TMI fandom rejoiced with the online debut of the second The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones trailer. The extended trailer, showing a little bit more of what to expect than the teaser trailer, left Shadowhunters even more excited for the film than they already were.

This film is, by far, my most anticipated release of the summer. The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is based on the worldwide best-selling book by author Cassandra Clare. In the second trailer, director Harald Zwart has given fans a good look at all the major characters, as well as a few choice favorite scenes from the novel. Who couldn’t help but to be excited?

Mortal Instruments City of Bones trailer #2Starring Lily Collins (Clary Fray) and Jamie Campbell Bower (Jace Wayland) with Kevin Zegers, Jemima West, Robert Sheehan, Godfrey Gao, Aidan Turner, Lena Headey, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

What do you think of the new trailer? Can you wait for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones?

“Two worlds will collide” on August 23.

Here is the synopsis:

Set in contemporary New York City, a seemingly ordinary teenager, Clary Fray (Lily Collins), discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother (Lena Headey), Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures.
