If you haven’t seen The Godfather on the big screen, then you haven’t seen The Godfather. The good news is that Cinemark Theaters just sent out a press release that announces they will bring The Godfather back to the big screen for one night only, on April 19, 2013.

The GodfatherOf course, The Godfather is Francis Ford Coppola’s cinema classic starring Marlon Brandon as Don Vito Corleone, the head of the Corleone crime family, and the journey of his son Michael (Al Pacino) to taking over his father’s role as head of the family.

While I have always preferred the sequel as the superior movie of the two, there is no denying that this original Oscar winning movie remains a true classic and one of the best gangster movies of all time.

The Godfather is part of the Cinemark Classic Series, and the 40th Anniversary restored version will screen at various Cinemark Theaters across the nation.
