Robert Rodriguez has finally chosen his biggest starlet to fill the most important presence in his Sin City sequelEva Green (Casino Royale, Kingdom of Heaven) is officially set to  play Ava Lord, who is the most famous femme fatale in the Sin City universe. Screenrant broke the story with a press release from Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller as follows:

Ava, the iconic character from Miller’s graphic novel of the same name, is described by Miller as “every man’s most glorious dreams come true, she’s also every man’s darkest nightmares.”

Rodriguez and Miller said, “We’ve been wanting to tell this story for a very long time.  Ava Lord is one of the most deadly and fascinating residents of Sin City.  From the start, we knew that the actor would need to be able to embody the multifaceted characteristics of this femme fatale and we found that in Eva Green.  We are ecstatic that Eva is joining us.”

The casting decision of Eva Green is truly inspired. She is a remarkable screen presence in every film she chooses. Depending on how well the film is received this October, this is likely to sky-rocket her into the A-list. Either way, all roads appear to be heading in the right direction for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

Eva Green is joining a star-studded cast which includes Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Mickey Rourke, and much more. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For will be released on October 4th. What do you think of the casting of Eva Green?
