Screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein — writers of Horrible Bosses and the recently released The Incredible Burt Wonderstone — are negotiating to have Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo return for their Vacation reboot.

VacationDaley and Goldstein have been developing a new Vacation movie centering around a grown-up Rusty Griswold planning his own family’s trip to Wally World. They’ve apparently got Ed Helms to play Rusty and Christina Applegate recently entered negotiations to play his wife.

This sounds like a cool project. I like the actors they already have and I enjoyed Horrible Bosses. I have yet to see the terrible-looking Burt Wonderstone, however.

Chevy Chase is criminally underutilized in Community, so it would be good to see him return to the franchise that made him famous. ┬áThis film will also be Daley and Goldstein’s directorial debut.
