More Guardians Of The Galaxy News! I’m obsessed. I spend my free time pining at the window dreaming of August 1st 2014 when I can join these space adventurers on their adventures. Every day it gets closer. This news is particularly special. They have wrapped filming on the new sci-fi event. Not only that we have confirmation from Lee Pace (Pushing Daisies, The Hobbit Trilogy) that his character, Ronan the Accuser will be awesome. “He’s a f*****g psycho! [laughs]. He’s a real monster. I’ve had the best time playing this character. I’m glad its all on film and I never thought I could be so nuts in it!” This is great news. Not only that, but James Gunn is super excited about this film. He has been since day one, but this much positivity from a director is always exciting.
On a less concrete note, it also appears that everyone involved with the movie likes each other a lot, and they’re having a great time being weirdos. Gunn’s instagram is littered with pictures of the team having a great time. I always feel like it’s a good sign when that’s the case. Positive energy throughout the organization often translates to good onscreen chemistry. These people aren’t just friends they are the kind of friends that give each other the jaws of ancient sea monsters as gifts (Chris Pratt apparently gifted one to Gunn at the end of filming). My expectations for this film are well documented in this space, and I hope y’all are as excited as I am. I don’t even have any comment prompting questions today. I just want to say that this film is rapidly climbing my most anticipated movies of 2014 list.
