‘Dexter’ to End in Season 8

After years of hints of the series coming to an end, judgement day has finally reared its ugly head for Dexter. Despite the lackluster season last year, the series still maintained strong ratings from devoted followers of the show. This caused doubts that the show-runners had any plans of stopping the program anytime soon. Well, guess again. According to a new report from Aint It Cool News, Season 8 of Dexter will finally wrap things up for the beloved serial killer.

The report states that during a conference call, CBS Chief Les Moonves confirmed that it will finish out this June. Here is the quote:

“Ray Donovan is coming on with Liev Schreiber which comes on with Dexter‘s last season starting in June,”

A couple of years ago this news would have disappointed me, but the show has dipped in quality greatly since Season 4 and 5. I’m rather glad to see everyone closing the doors on this show because it’s a little overdue in my opinion. Now, the big question is, how will the creators end the story for Dexter?

Does it disappoint you that Dexter ends this year? Tell us below!

Yes! I actually thought last season was an improvement over most of season 6.
