Breck Eisner Directing ‘The Last Witch Hunter’ for Vin Diesel

Breck Eisner had a smashing debut with 2010’s horror remake The Crazies. Since then, the director has bounced along various projects without firmly committing to anything. Eisner at one time was even set to tackle a reboot of Flash Gordon, which I still want to see happen one day. Now, a new report says that Eisner will be helming a supernatural-actioner titled The Last Witch Hunter, with Vin Diesel to star. Summit Entertainment will distribute the film with an undetermined release date.

Vin Diesel is definitely in need of something new and this project appears to be a perfect fit for the guy. Also I’m intrigued about what him and Eisner could cook up together. Eisner delivered intense atmosphere in The Crazies. Throw Diesel into the mix we may end up with something insane. Here is a description of the film provided by ShockTilYouDrop:

The project, which hails from Cory Goodman (Priest) follows an immortal hunter forced to team with a witch, his prey and greatest enemy, to protect an evil force from destroying New York City.
