It is just a fact now: the Fast and the Furious franchise is becoming the next Expendables, except with fast cars and cool heists. After the sixth movie brought back The Rock and added MMA fighter Gina Carano to duke it out with Michelle Rodriguez, the Fast and Furious 7 cast has added a ton of awesome faces.

There is some spoilers that will follow for Fast and Furious 6.

Of course, we announced a while back the addition of martial arts master Tony Jaa to the Fast and Furious 7 cast. While I’m not sure who he will play, I can only imagine he will be here to avenge the death of Han in the post credits sequence. (By the way, this scene also happened in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, the events of which took place after Fast 5 and Furious 6).

There is also the addition of Jason Statham, who we learn is the man who killed Han.

Two weeks ago, we told you about the addition of Kurt Russell to the cast, bringing in the man who played Snake Plissken as possibly a doppelganger of his character from Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof.

MMA fighter Ronda Rousey should be replacing Gina Carano as the bad a$$ female and now we get the man with the coolest name in the room – Djimon Hounsou – as the newest addition to the Fast and Furious 7 cast.

Hopefully, he is a bad guy and he can scrap with Vin Diesel and The Rock. Either way, the testosterone in the Fast and Furious 7 cast easily matches that of The Expendables. It’s a great time to be a fan of action flicks.
