Seems like Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are in just about every headline this week. Ben Affleck has stirred up the masses by taking on the next incarnation of The Dark Knight, and Damon has had various sources arguing whether or not he will return to the Bourne franchise.

Now, a new headline suggest that Damon himself will most likely work with an old friend of the Batman character. Indiewire has reported that Damon will board Christopher Nolan’s next film in a small secretive role. If you think about it though, basically every role in this movie is pretty secretive, so no real surprise. His character is small though, as the news says he will only have two weeks of shooting in Iceland, for a movie that has four months of shooting schedule planned.

I find it interesting how Affleck, Nolan, and Damon are all connected in a way after these last couple of weeks. Nolan exits Batman; Affleck becomes Batman; Damon joins Interstellar. I’d love to be a fly on the wall if they ever had dinner together. Nolan is not one to usually cast such a big name for no reason, so I’m curious to see what he has in mind for Damon. It’s gong to be awesome to see these guys work together.

Interstellar hits theaters on November 7, 2014!
