Willis Out, Ford In, For Expendables 3

In my life, there are few sweeter things than The Expendables. A film franchise I at times feel was made just for me. Recently, the man behind it all, Sylvester Stallone took to his Twitter account in order to announce some new casting, as well as take a [deserved?] shot to prove the fact that the Bruce Willis Expendables role is – well – Expendable.

This is one of the reasons that Stallone has, and always will be, the man in my eyes. You can tell it’s him at the helm of his account, and not some BS publicist or assistant. Although I’m bummed that Willis is out, we got him for 2 movies, one of which he kicked a ton of ass in. Harrison is going to be a great addition, and I really hope they give him something great to do. Anyway, soon after Stallone wrote:

Well, never let it be said that Stallone pulls his punches. Oh snaps. See what I did there? That’s why I get paid the big bucks. However, is Bruce Willis Expendables? When he is asking for $1 million A DAY to shoot the movie he is. The rest of the cast said no way and Bruno is gone.

The Expendables 3 is due for an August 15, 2014 release date, it’s being directed by Patrick Hughes, and according to Stallone, it’ll show The Raid: Redemption how it’s done. Amen.
