Last week, Renegade Cinema was going to present you with the TV spot for the upcoming Asylum movie Sharknado. It never happened because the quality was crap. Good thing we waited, because today a brand new Sharknado trailer hit and blew that TV spot away.

The first thing I want to point out is that Ian Zeiring, of Beverly Hills 90210 fame, tells his friends that they CAN’T JUST STAND BY AND WATCH THIS. Then Tara Reid (I think) says WE HAVE TO STOP THAT TORNADO BEFORE IT REACHES THE AIRPORT. They then grab guns and weapons to go fight … the tornado?
Nope, they are fighting the GIANT SHARKS FLYING OUT OF THE TORNADO TO KILL PEOPLE. Yeah. Then, as they fly towards the giant tornado in a helicopter, they exclaim that they need a bigger chopper, because you know, a big helicopter can destroy a tornado … or something. Hell, at least it is homage to Jaws.
Whatever… This might be the Citizen Kane of hybrid shark movies. Sharknado stars Tara Reid, Ian Ziering, John Heard, Cassie Scerbo, and Jaason Simmons and airs on the SyFy Channel this Thursday at 9 p.m. EST. Rewatch that Sharknado trailer and tell me that you can miss out on this.
